About the project
The Think College Transition (TCT) Model is an inclusive dual-enrollment transition model designed to improve post-school outcomes for students aged 18 -22 years who have intellectual disability and autism (ID/A). Situating students in the academic and social environments of a college campus with same-aged peers rather than the typical transition services in high school environments is the key feature of this model.Nine dually- enrolled students on two Massachusetts campuses accepted an invitation to participate in an action research project related to TCT, called ‘Put Yourself on the Map’. Students used multiple methods to describe their college experiences over the 2016-2017 academic year.
